What is "Take a Vinyasa?"
Take a Vinaysa in this case means to do chaturanga, up dog then down dog moving with your breath. Technically Vinyasa means to link breath with movement so it can be any series of poses that accomplishes that.

How long am I supposed to do each course before moving on to the next?
That depends on how dedicated you are to mastering the poses, and sticking with something that is challenging. I go over the outline of the course in the welcome video, make sure to watch that if you haven't already. For some courses it's taken me a few weeks, and others a few years. Part of the discipline of yoga is learning to stick with something. If your craving variety, you can mix in other videos from other courses, but keep coming back to the sequence of videos in your current course until your body is able to move through each individual class with ease.

My breath doesn't follow your cues
That's normal. Take it as a suggestion and honor how your breath moves. You'll learn to breath slower longer breathes as your lung capacity increases and you learn to stay calm and relaxed through the movements.

Taking rest days/recovery time (Seems like we talk about this a lot)
When your body feels super sore, it needs to be listened to and given a chance to recover. You get stronger by breaking down muscle fiber and then allowing it to heal. If you don't honor that process the body won't be able to recover. With a new challenge or sequence, it might mean you can only do it every other day because you are too sore. Honor that, allow the recovery time. This will mean less injuries and faster progression. When the body adapts to the new training stimulus, you'll be able to do it daily without an issue.

One side is tighter than the other, is that normal? How do I fix it?
That's totally normal. Humans are asymmetrical, we have a larger right diaphragm, and are prone toward right sidedness which can cause issues on the left or right side as a result. Be patient with the tight part or side and give it a little extra love, or breath. Do not try to force it to be like the other more open side.

I took a break, where should I pick back up?
Depends how long a break, over a month I'd say at the beginning. Your body needs to go back through the foundational elements. It probably will not take as long to get back to where you were this time. If it's a week or two that's no biggie.

Experiencing Pain: Ultimately, I am not a Doctor or physical therapist, so if you have an injury it would be best to get assessed and get a rehabilitation program from an expert. In general for an injury, I would suggest mobilization through pain free range of motion, and then slowly strengthening through the newly acquired range. If a body part got injured in a pose, it meant that the body didn't yet have the pre requisite mobility and strength, or that you may have been over doing it, and not allowing enough time for the body to recover from the new stress being placed on it. The joints and the connective tissue are trained to adapt to stress. When we go over the amount of stress or force that body part can handle it becomes injured. Rehabilitation requires gaining the movement back and then training the body part to slowly adapt to stress, force, or load again while giving adequate time to rest and recover from the new tissue insulting strain being placed on it.

How can I save my favorite videos or search videos?
From the mobile app you can favorite, save, and search for videos. From the website you can click the "complete" button at the bottom, so that you know which videos you've done. The search feature is the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

What books would you recommend reading?
That depends on what you're interested in. In general I recommend Light on Yoga for a blueprint of the yoga practice. Tias Little and Richard Freeman also have great practice guide books. For Philosophy: The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (Swami Satchidanada), Autobiography of a Yogi (The Blue Cover 1st edition, not the Red one) The Bhagavad Gita (Stephen Mitchell), Light on Life (BKS Iyengar) Crest Jewel of Discrimination (Shankara).

What kind of dog is Ollie

Troubleshooting poses:
If you're having trouble with a certain pose, I'd highly recommend trying the foundation course to see if there isn't a foundational aspect you may have missed. If you still have issues find a way to prop up the pose so that the body doesn't have to work as hard at achieving it, like using a wall for support for balancing poses or twists. You can also not go as low or deep into poses by using one or two blocks stacked. Over time your body will get stronger and more flexible in the reduced range of motion, or load (using wall for support reduces load) so that you can start to gradually attempt the full expression of the pose.
Think of it like weight lifting. No one tried to bench press 200 lbs. if they've never weight lifted. They would start with push-ups with knees down, then straight legs, then progress to a barbell, then slowly add weight etc..
Lastly, the mobility course offers stretches and exercises for specific joints that may lack the prerequisite mobility or strength for the pose you're trying to get into. So, I would suggest checking out some of those videos and working them in wherever you are in the course.
